Randall M. MacDonald
Collection Development Librarian
Florida Southern College

Randall MacDonald is collection development librarian at Roux Library, Florida Southern College, having served on the faculty since 1986. He received his MSLS from Florida State University and his BA from the University of Alabama, and has additional professional experience in public librarianship and records management. His classroom teaching has included freshman seminars and library use courses.

An active Internet user since 1991, he is the author of The Internet and the School Library Media Specialist: Transforming Traditional Services (Greenwood Press, 1997). He has been involved with library automation and networking projects on a campus and regional level, and speaks to groups about the Internet and library services. His articles have covered such diverse topics as school librarianship, college computer network utilization by librarians, records management, and the works of architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

MacDonald was named a Member of the 1996 Florida Library Association Transformers Honor Roll.
