Parker Rossman
Lecturer, in Retirement, and Consultant on Education Futures
A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, the University of Chicago, and Yale University (PhD in higher education), Rossman was the founding vice-president of GLOSAS/USA, well known for its Global University project. In that capacity and as a member of the board of directors of the University of the World (which had councils in 26 countries to bring business, government, and higher education together to plan for the future of electronic higher education), he pressed these organizations to focus more on research to solve fundamental human problems. He has taught at Yale and at Central Philippines University. Rossman has served as a William Henry Hoover lecturer at the University of Chicago and as a Vocations Week lecturer at Cambridge (UK); he also has lectured at the Indian Institute of World Culture in Bangalore and at the Classical University of Lisbon.
