Linda Peters

As a teacher of English for 17 years, Linda Peters is actively involved in education. Her teaching experience ranges from adjunct faculty at the University of South Florida and Hillsborough Community College to Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, Florida. She often presents at national conferences, as well as state and local conventions. Peters has published works in the Florida English Journal and the English Journal, sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English. In addition, she has reviewed textbook chapters and served as a National Writing Awards judge. Locally, she has won the Hillsborough County Teachers of English 1st prize for Poetry two years in a row, 1997 and 1998. Currently, Peters serves as assistant chair for the English Department at Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, Florida. In addition, she is completing her coursework for a PhD in curriculum and instruction, with a specialization in English education and instructional technology.
