Jiwan Giri is presently pursuing a PhD in information technology from the School of Engineering and Information Technology at George Mason University, where he is a researcher at the International Center for Applied Studies in Information Technology (ICASIT). He received a master's degree in project management from The George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Webber College, Babson Park, FL, USA. He has also received a diploma in education and an intermediate degree in Japanese from Tribhuwan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. His research interests include e-commerce technology, Internet security, data mining, knowledge management, and project management. His work experience includes managing a tourism businesses for 5 years and serving as a business consultant for non-government organizations (NGOs), business entrepreneurs in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and political leaders in his native country, Nepal, for the last 5 years.
