Jeanne C. Meister is an internationally recognized education innovator. She is the former president and CEO of Corporate University Xchange, a boutique research, consulting, and event business targeting corporate university directors and chief learning officers. Meister founded Corporate University Xchange in 1997 and sold the company in 2002. Some of the organizations Meister personally advised in the launch of their corporate university include: Anheuser-Busch, Vanguard, Symbol Technologies, Fire Department of New York (FDNY) Milliken, Guardian Life Insurance, Southern Company, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Tenet Healthcare, American Family Insurance, and University of Toyota.

Meister is the author of Corporate Quality Universities (Irwin Professional Publishing, 1994), as well as Corporate Universities: Lessons in Building a World-Class Work Force (McGraw-Hill, 1998). Corporate Universities was translated into Spanish and Portuguese after having sold more than 40,000 copies.

An avid author, Meister has written articles for such publications as Training magazine, T&D magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Nation's Business, Financial Times, Chronicle of Higher Education, Technology Source, and Journal of Business Strategy. Her most recent article is entitled "Transformations in Corporate Education: Maximizing Efficiencies, Flexibility and Return" and will be published in Harvard Business Review, Japan in 2003.

Meister was asked to provide expert testimony to the Web-Based Education Commission chaired by Senator Bob Kerrey (D-Nebraska). Her testimony along with recommendations can be found at www.webcommission.org.

Meister is active in industry publications and associations. She is currently serving on the editorial board of Technology Source and Chief Learning Officer magazine. In addition, Meister has been asked to join the American Society for Training & Development Nominating Committee for the term 2002-2003.

Meister has appeared on National Public Radio Marketplace, CNN, and CNBC as an expert on higher education. In addition Meister has functioned as the primary public spokesperson for Corporate University Xchange and has delivered keynote addresses at the following conferences: Training 1999, 2000, & 2001, American Society for Training & Development 1995-2001, AACSB 1999 & 2000, The University Continuing Education Association, and The Society for Human Resource Management. Prior to founding Corporate University Xchange, Meister was a vice president of marketing and new product development for Citigroup. Meister holds a bachelors in education from University of Connecticut, as well as a masters in education and MBA from Boston University.
