Doug Johnson is the WebCT administrator and an instructional designer for University of Florida's Office of Academic Technology. He is currently administering more than 700 WebCT course accounts and more than 24,000 user accounts for UF. In addition, he is the ID for more than two dozen online course development projects including a online certificate and degree programs in forensic toxicology, nutrition, and gerontology.

Johnson has a BA in History, a Master of Divinity, an EdS in social studies education. He is now writing his dissertation for a PhD in education law and finance which he hopes to complete in 2003. Johnson has been employed by UF since July 2000. Prior to this he was a middle and high school social studies teacher, and he developed and delivered the first classes taught entirely online through the state?s Internet high school project.

Johnson is married, has two children, and lives on 40 acres of intermittent wetland in north-central Florida.
