Bobby Hobgood
LEARN North Carolina

Bobby Hobgood has been involved with LEARN North Carolina since its beginning in 1996 when he represented Chatham County Schools on LEARN's Central Pilot Team. From August 1997 to November 1998 he served as educator-on-loan and was responsible for providing a teacher's perspective to the program. As the curriculum resource specialist for the program, he is now responsible for the content of LEARN's Lesson Plan Database and its review process. His other duties include project development, teacher training, facilitating partnerships, and public speaking to promote LEARN NC.

A former high school French teacher, Hobgood is a former executive board member of the Foreign Language Association of North Carolina and conducts workshops on the integration of technology into the foreign language classroom.

Hobgood is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a BA in education, and has an MAT from the School for International Training.
